Rowlett Dental Associates Gladly Welcomes Dental Insurance

Dental insurance is an excellent tool that can help individual patients and whole families alike take better care of their smiles over the years. Here in Rowlett, our knowledgeable team members are happy to accept a wide range of major PPO plans and make the reimbursement process a breeze. Keep reading below to learn more about the various in’s and out’s of this system, or contact our practice if you’d like to schedule an appointment.

How Does Dental Insurance Work?

Traditional medical insurance is designed to provide the bulk of its benefits towards major incidents, like serious illnesses, traumatic injuries, or big life events like pregnancies. Dental insurance works in a much different way, however. Patients will find that the services that receive the most financial coverage are actually preventive in nature. Your benefits are arranged in this way to hopefully save you and your family money over time. By visiting Rowlett Dental Associates regularly for dedicated checkups and cleanings, our team has a much better chance of discovering concerns and damage early on so that any recommended treatment stays as conservative as possible.

What Does My Dental Insurance Plan Cover?

Every dental insurance plan is a little different, and we strongly encourage our patients to confirm their benefits with the provider before scheduling any treatments. In most cases, though, you can expect the following:

  • Essential preventive care (which includes biannual checkups and cleanings) are covered at 100%.
  • Simple restorative services (which include tooth-colored fillings and root canal therapy) are covered at around 70-80%.
  • Major restorative services (which include dentures, crowns, and bridges) are covered at around 50-60%.

Any treatment plan that is purely designed to improve a smile’s cosmetic appeal will most likely not receive any benefits.

We Accept In-Network AND Out-of-Network Insurance Plans!

Rowlett Dental Associates is an in-network provider with Delta Dental, and our pediatric dentist Dr. Pollock is also in-network with several PPO plans for children under the age of 18. What does it actually mean to be in-network, though?

An in-network provider has agreed to accept negotiated fees for a wide variety of different dental services. In many cases, this means that your overall cost will be less. However, we do ask that patients with out-of-network PPO plans still consider our office for their dental care needs! We are happy to file claims on your behalf and help you maximize your benefits – you won’t even have to lift a finger. Because of our reasonable fees, many out-of-network patients discover that they pay very close to the same cost here that they would with an in-network provider.
