Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation is the answer to many patients’ prayers, in that all you need to do is take a prescribed pill to help any dental nerves quickly melt away. This approach is ideal for patients who experience mild to moderate dental phobia, and we’ll have you take the pill before you’re in our office so you’re guaranteed to feel completely relaxed from check-in to checkout. We do require that you have a friend or family member drive you to and from the office the day of your visit!

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

nitrous oxide mask

Nitrous oxide, better known as “laughing gas,” has been used by dentists for over 100 years. Patients simply inhale the gas through a small nasal mask, and within minutes, a warm blanket of calm will come over them. The mask stays on for the entire appointment, and once it’s removed, the patient should feel normal again within a matter of minutes. It’s safe, effective, and so gentle that we can even use it with small children.

IV Sedation

For patients who have extreme dental phobia, require extensive care, or have physical or mental special needs, IV sedation is often the key to a pleasant dental experience. A sedative is administered directly into the bloodstream, helping a patient quickly drift into a deep state of relaxation. Better yet, we’re able to adjust a patient’s sedation level throughout the appointment as needed, ensuring that no matter what’s happening, they feel comfortable and safe.
